Yoga at DRRH Clubhouse

Chair Yoga Monday 4:30 pm – 5:15 pm

We will use a folding chair, in seated position on the chair and standing poses may be incorporated into class, using the chair for balance. Chair yoga is ideal for those who can’t easily get up and down on the floor, while making common yoga postures and their benefits, more accessible. Breathing techniques and meditation will be incorporated into the class. We will focus on increasing flexibility and balance, improving mood, and lessening anxiety.  This class is suitable for all levels.

Chairs are provided.  Please bring a yoga mat to place under your chair for grip.

Gentle Yoga Monday 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

This class will include meditation, breath work, and poses that include slow flowing poses with some poses held longer. We will be focusing on increasing flexibility, mobility and physical balance, while also providing relaxation. We will include a variety of seated, standing and reclining postures.  While modifications to many poses are available, being able to get up and down from the floor multiple times within an hour with relative ease is necessary. No prior yoga experience needed.

Please bring a yoga mat. There will be limited blocks available as props.  If you have yoga props you would like to use, you are welcome to bring them.  Click here for my prop recommendations.
